Diversity Studies Blog Post #1
My name is Dan Warden and I'm from Newington CT. I am currently 19 years old but on March 24th I will be turning 20. I guess is someone asked me if I am multicultural, bi-cultural, or mono-cultural I would have to say multicultural to some degree but at the same time mono-cultural. On my fathers side I am German, English, but for the most part Scottish. On my mothers side I am Polish and French but I have trouble really relating to any of them or speak any other languages. I consider myself an American, no questions asked. I am caucasian, and protestant but to be honest I'm not very religious...A better way of putting it is, I know there is a god out there and hopefully keeps an eye on things. On a lighter subject however, poker is my number one hobby and I play all the time, it is easily my favorite leasure activity that does not involve partying (which I do a lot.) Sports are also important to me, I'm an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan and whenever I get a chance to talk smack for my team I take the opportunity. I like the yankee's but I'm not a huge fan of baseball. I'm all about Chelsea Football Club (English Club Soccer Team) and I try to catch as many games as I can. I played football and lacrosse
throughout middleschool and highschool but unfortuneatley don't have much time to persue that anymore in college but I really love both of the sports a lot. I am really enjoying college though so it's an even trade. What takes up a lot of my time aside from school work is the fraternity I am a part of, Delta Chi. All of my brothers in D-Chi are really good dudes and close friends of mine. Friendship and loyalty is incredibly important to me.
When I graduate from Uconn, I'm hoping to build off my communications major and go into public relations, hopefully for a big business.

HuskyTHON and Childrens Miracle Network
Hello Everyone,
I have decided to help participate in the HuskyTHON along with several brothers of the Delta Chi Fraternity to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. I am supporting the HuskyTHON by asking my Friends and Family to help us raise money for the local children in need. Please help me with a generous donation!
If you wish to donate any money here is the link: http://www.kidsmiracles.org/danwarden
Thanks in advance!
